Hi guys,
This is Will writing our 1st post and welcoming you to our blog.
In case you are still unaware, Em and I are going around the world for a year. When we made this life changing decision, leaving our cat and shoes (that was harder for some people) behind we asked ourselves what do want out of this unique opportunity.
Of course we didn't want the same things, but soon decided we could clench both of our thirsts for adventure and relaxation (Guess who wanted what...) !
Where?
We will be travelling for 12 months from Paris to Johannesburg through Namibia & Botswana. We will then head for China, South East Asia & India where we will spend Christmas & New Years 2011! Next is Australia & New Zealand where we will explore Melbourne & Sydney as well as the more arid Western coast.
When?
We will leave on Sept. 1st and will roughly be in Africa for 2 months, Asia for 3 months, Oceania for 2 months and South America for 3 months. We will then spend 2 months in California meeting more activists, experts and volunteers and editing the series.
What?
The Fasten your Dream Belt Series will be composed of about 10 episodes that will be uploaded to our YouTube Channel during summer 2011. We will be meeting people along the way to see firsthand and try to understand the challenges our generation is facing.
We will be travelling in the search of 2 things: Knowledge for we are conscious that even if we watch 5 documentaries a week (yap we're dorks), nothing beats meeting the people and listening to what they have to say; And Bewilderment since we firmly believe taking a stand for something you are passionate about is not a reason to stop being amazed!
Some of the issues we will raise are: Oceans & Marine Life, Alternative Energy, Water Sanitation, Malnutrition, Human Rights, Cultural Differences & Education.
